What to wear to a running assessment?

We love treating runners here at Podiatry Mackay. Running assessments are an area we excel in, and we are always trying to refine our skills in this area.

An important part of your treatment is hearing about your running journey and learning your ‘why’, which in combination with a running assessment allows us to formulate an appropriate treatment plan.

So, what to wear to your appointment? If you’re booked in to see us and you’re a runner… we’re going to make you run. We’ve compiled a list of Do’s & Don’ts on what to bring and wear for your first running assessment.

Don’t

-          Wear skirts, jeans, or dresses

-          Turn up without your shoes

Do

-          Wear shorts or tights (bonus points if we can see your knees)

-          Bring at least 2 pairs of your running shoes

For even further bonus points if your shirt is a different colour to your shorts, that helps us greatly. If you have any questions about anything we have mentioned today please feel free to contact us.
